I use Google Analytics to track basic usage patterns for all of my websites and blogs, and one thing that I couldn't help but notice is that a lot of people seem to be finding their way to this blog lately. Now, I don't think it's a secret that I am a huge fan of Christmas music, and I like to start listening to it as soon as I can, but that usually means after Halloween is over - I think September might be too early even for me! However, I wouldn't be totally opposed to the idea of perhaps listening to a few albums and throwing some quick reviews on here in the meantime, if anyone would be interested.
To anyone who comes across this post before November, I'd like to ask a few quick questions; if you could respond in the comments (or via email), it would really be a big help to me.
- What were you looking for when you came across this blog?
- Did you find what you were looking for here?
- Would you like to see some new content on this blog before November?
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'll be back to regular posting sometime in November, and possibly sooner if enough people are interested.

Christmas Music! (no real stretch there)
* Did you find what you were looking for
Yes - thank you.
* Would you like to see some new content on this blog before November?
No. I've kept this feed in my rss reader list since last year - but a bunch of Christmas music posts before the leaves even start turning would probably make me remove it (to be brutally honest). "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose..."
Ummm, exactly what Mike said, although I wouldn't dump the feed.
Still, it's way too early. I'm ticked off at there already being Halloween candy everywhere.
That's why I love RSS. When you start, I'll know. You'll show up in my Xmas Music feed group.
Funny -- I was going to mention Halloween candy. :-)
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback! I guess I should have mentioned that this post wasn't really directed at my subscribers, although it's great to hear from you.
I think Mike's comment settles it, though - I don't want to lose any readers, so I'll definitely wait until I start posting about Christmas music (even if the leaves here did start turning last week ;)).
Also, great point about the Halloween candy. I think I started seeing it around here in August, which really baffled me, as it's not like it's something that needs to be stockpiled this early.
Thanks again, and I'll be back in a couple of months!
WAIT, don't decide before I post!!
* What were you looking for when you came across this blog? Christmas music! This site was linked from another Christmas music site (don't remember which), so I followed and found you.
* Did you find what you were looking for here? Yeah, I got directed to some great free music.
* Would you like to see some new content on this blog before November? I'm one of those sickos who listens to Christmas music anytime, so yeah, new content wouldn't bother me a bit.
Haha, thanks for the response, Zube. I really do think it's too early for me to be listening to Christmas music, let alone writing about it, so it'll be a while yet. I think I'll start tinkering with the blog's template, though, and add a few new features to it, as I did with Totally Free Music a while back.
Here's a deal, though: if I run across any free covers of songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas while searching for Halloween music next month, I'll cross-post them here. :)
What were you looking for when you came across this blog? Just lookig for new posts. All through the year, I occasionally visit all the Christmas music sites, just to see if there is anything new.
Did you find what you were looking for here? Yes - saw some music available that I had not downloaded.
Would you like to see some new content on this blog before November? I certainly would. I make a Christmas comp each year for family and friends, and always start mentally compiling it very early (like, August...). So new music throughout the year is welcome.
